As a Software Embedded Engineer for E/E engineering, you will design and develop embedded software solutions that form the backbone of Yanmar's electric off-highway machines. Design and implement embedded software solutions as part of the E/E architecture for electrified systems.

Collaborate with hardware teams to analyze, compare, and select electronic components, gaining a deep understanding of their behavior and developing effective control strategies.

Ensure seamless integration of electronic components within the E/E architecture, optimizing system performance and functionality.

Innovate and enhance the E/E architecture through continuous code optimization and feature updates.

Work collaboratively with teams across Germany, Japan, and the Netherlands to align software strategies with overall design objectives.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of software architectures, changes, and version control.

Ensure all embedded software solutions comply with industry standards and Yanmar's quality benchmarks.

]]> Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development for E/E architectures.
Experience in PCU (Powertrain Control Unit) development (instead of BMS focus), preferably in automotive or similar electrification projects.
Proven experience working directly with hardware components, analyzing control behavior, and developing integration and control software for complex systems.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with natural communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multicultural teams.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience using Matlab™ Simulink for software development and deployment.
Strong familiarity with automotive and off-highway communication protocols and ecosystems, such as CAN, J1939/CANOpen, UDS, LIN, AUTOSAR, etc.
Experience with embedded development tools and environments.
Strong programming skills in C/C++ are a plus.
Strong scripting skills and experience with automation tools are a plus.

Preferred qualifications:

Motivation to grow toward system-level design.
Understanding of microcontroller-based systems and willingness to expand into broader system architecture.
Ability to collaborate with hardware and mechanical teams, and interest in developing cross-disciplinary design skills.
Experience working with cross-cultural and intercontinental teams is a plus.
Experience with High Voltage (HV) systems is a plus.
Experience in functional safety development and relevant standards (ISO 26262, ISO 13849) is a plus.
Experience in cybersecurity analysis and secure system design is a plus.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Product Compliance Lead to join our fast-growing team at ELU (Electrification Unit of Yanmar).

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Product Compliance Lead to join our team in the dynamic field of electric powertrains and electrification technologies. As Product Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that our electric powertrain solutions comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, standards, and norms.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including battery development, e-powertrain development, manufacturing, quality assurance, and the wider organisation to develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.

Leadership: Create & manage a small team of industry compliance specialists across multiple locations such as EMEA, USA and ASIA, ensure clear communication and drive development of team interaction and collaboration, inspire, educate, and drive performance.

Regulatory Compliance Management: Stay abreast of relevant regulations, standards, directives, and industry best practices, including environmental, transportation, and regulatory requirements for electrification technologies across different regions. Participate in industry associations such as RECHARGE, EUROMOT and EUROBAT.

Compliance Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive compliance strategies, roadmaps, and action plans to ensure that our products meet all applicable regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

Product Testing and Certification: Coordinate product homologation activities with internal and external laboratories to evaluate compliance with regulatory standards and obtain necessary certifications and approvals (e.g., CE Marking, FCC certification).

We’re looking for a visionary Product Manager - Battery Systems to join our Strategy Department.

As the Product Manager for Battery Systems, you will oversee all aspects of battery technology projects within Yanmar's groundbreaking electric off-highway machines. Your role will involve managing the lifecycle of battery systems, from concept and development to implementation and performance optimization. Collaborating with global teams in Japan and the Netherlands, you will ensure that our battery solutions meet the highest standards of innovation, safety, and efficiency. You will be the strategic leader driving product vision, aligning it with Yanmar's mission to lead the off-highway electrification market, and ensuring our products meet market demands.

Develop competitive high-voltage traction battery product roadmap for off-highway electrification.

Project Oversight: Manage the portfolio of battery projects, ensuring they meet project milestones, budget constraints, and strategic objectives.

Work directly with multiple stakeholder teams, translating customer and feature needs into requirements for content, metrics, and processes.

Cross-functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts across engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to deliver successful battery products.

5–7 years of experience as a Product Manager or similar roles, ideally in the automotive, commercial, or off-highway sector.

Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and leading international, cross-functional teams.

Deep understanding of battery technologies, including lithium-ion systems, thermal management, and battery safety standards.

Academic background in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics engineering.

Strong understanding and involvement with product development, business case analysis, commercial issues, P&L analysis, and financial reporting.

Strong team player with high flexibility and openness, capable of working collaboratively within international teams.

Strong presentation skills and ability to present complex concepts; excellent negotiation skills.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

International experience or exposure is a plus.
